Yavneh Nursery

Yavneh is a warm, caring and friendly Jewish Nursery, based at Woodside Park Synagogue N12.

We aim to give our children the best start in life so that they can become independent, resilient, confident, critical thinkers.

Our highly trained staff team carefully nurtures children's personal, social and emotional development through positive relationships. Each unique child is provided with a calm environment, stimulating resources and rich learning opportunities.

Children come from two years old and then graduate to a second classroom upstairs for our pre-school children where they can get ready for the transition into Reception.

Our pride and joy is our 'third classroom' which is our wonderful outdoor area, equipped with a digging zone, mud kitchen and large sandpit as well as a climnbing wall with a slide. This learge area gives children the freedom and space to move imaginatively and engage in curious thought.

At Yavneh on a Friday we have a lovely Shabbat party where we talk about giving Tzedakah and here the children become aware of what it means to help others who are in need.

Our active P.T.A organise fund-raising events on behalf of the Nursery and this year have decided as a nursery community to take part in the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run on Sunday 23rd June 2019. We wish to raise money for Yavneh Nursery, so they can continue to provide a great setting for the nursery children and also a fabulous charity called Camp Simcha.

We have chosen to twin with Camp Simcha as it is a Jewish charity which exists to bring the light back for all Jewish families in the UK coping with serious childhood medical conditions. They do this by providing, free of charge, over 23 practical and emotional support services to ensure all families across all sectors of the community, feel cared for an dsupported for as long as they need.
